In 2006 CHRIS TAYLOR, CEO of Fisher’s Technology, and his team embarked on transforming a seventy year old stagnant business into a growth company with extremely happy employees and customers. In that timeframe Fisher's has more than sextupled the size, expanded from one to eleven locations, developed a thriving managed IT organization, and has been voted one of the best places to work for 14 years straight. In this session Chris will lay out the lessons they learned in their journey transforming a company culture.

About Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor is President, CEO and Co-Owner of Fisher’s Technology, an office technology company offering IT network management, copier and printer services, business telephone solutions, and electronic document management software and services. During Chris’s fifteen years at the helm, the 85 year-old Fisher’s more than sextupled in size and received numerous awards including: Idaho’s Best Places to work the last thirteen years straight, Inc. 5000 fastest growing U.S. companies five years, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce 2013 Small Business of the Year, U.S. Chamber’s Top 100 U.S. Small Businesses of the Year in 2014, and Idaho Business Review’s 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 Reader Rankings as both the Best Office Equipment Company and the Best IT & Tech Support Services in Idaho. Chris was also selected as one of the 2014 CEOs of Influence by the Idaho Business Review. Chris is a Boise native with past experience managing technology projects for organizations around the world. Chris worked for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting) as a consultant and manager of strategic systems implementations. Chris received an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and graduated Summa cum Laude with a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Idaho.

Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Youth Ranch, is the President for the Copier Dealers' Association and the Managed Technology Association, serves on the Canon Dealer Advisory Council, is the Honorary Commander of the 124th Communications Flight of the Idaho Air National Guard, is the Past President of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Idaho Chapter, served on the Board of Directors for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, is a past Executive Board Member and Past President of the Board of Directors for the Discovery Center of Idaho, serves on the University of Idaho’s Special Advisory Group to the President, serves on the Board for the Idaho Technology Council, is a member of the Vistage CEO leadership group, and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Boise Art Museum.
