About Good, Fast, or Cheap? Which Type of Remodeler is Right For You?
We all want it good, fast, and cheap... but can we get all three? The remodeling industry has multiple business models available that are geared toward one or a combination of good/fast/cheap. From one-man-show contractors, to full design/build companies, to specialty contractors, to DIY'ing it, you have a choice of how to go about your remodel. I'll break down the pros and cons of each so you can get it Good, Fast, OR Cheap. Spoiler alert: you can't get all three!
About Michael Hill
I was born and raised in northern Meridian, back when it was mostly corn and wheat fields. The farmlands I played and worked in as a boy are now covered by subdivisions and homes, many built by me (with mixed emotions!). I LOVE Idaho. After earning a Construction Management bachelor's degree, and building homes in Texas and back home here in Idaho, I founded Clear Creek Homes LLC in 2005. I built and remodeled homes for a few years, then served five years full-time with the Idaho Army National Guard in 2008 (I still serve part-time today). I started up business again in 2013, re-branding as CCH Design | Remodel and focused exclusively on remodeling and additions. I learned some hard lessons in the early years, but I developed an obsession with customer service and satisfaction, and intentionally built the company to achieve those goals. And we’re good at it! You know how I know? I see former customers around town who hug me and tell me “We still LOVE our kitchen!”
